I'm starting out my first Fashion Friday with what I wore to my grandma's funeral. Cheery, no? For real though, my grandma had Alzheimer's for the last ten years and now she is free of it. I know without a doubt where she is now. It was a happy celebration of her life rather than a mournful funeral. I cried, yes, but I also laughed and smiled more. So it was good.

Anyway, I always think it is appropriate to wear purple chevron tights to a funeral. Or anywhere really. I am madly in love with them. I told my sister I was going to wear purple chevron tights and she almost vomited. Bah, who needs her opinion. The lace skirt I made myself on Monday from this tutorial. It was my first try at pockets and they are slightly too small. But they were big enough to hold chapstick and a kleenex so it's all good. Speaking of kleenex, I had two but then I gave one to my brother. So I had only one through the whole funeral and it shredded all over my face. Seriously, I was picking little pieces of kleenex off my face and out of my hair for hours. Kinda ruined the effect of my tights but what are you going to do.

P.S. I put up a followers widget on the left side of my blog. So far I have seven followers. This is sad to me and is the reason I have not put it up before. The thing is, I know more than seven people read this, like my mom and my mother-in-law. So I should be at nine, at least.
