the apartment: master and guest bedrooms

Well, I kind of took a week off last week, didn't I? I hope no one was worried. It wasn't really planned, but it was a nice break. We had family staying with us this last week (Sam's brother and his wife) and it was so fun to relax and hang out with them. Still, as a reward for your patience with my impromptu absence, here is the first round of decorating our new apartment. It will absolutely change, but for now, this is it. I had to finally get around to getting it all set up since we were having guests. I do like it, but someday when we have a little extra cash, I might do some painting and maybe get some curtains and refinish a couple of pieces of furniture. Still, it is perfectly fine for now.

Today I'll show you the guest bedroom/office, bathroom, and master bedroom.

The guest bedroom/office:
This desk is where I plan to do my sewing and crafting. You can see that I have more supplies stuffed under the desk than will fit in my Rubbermaid drawers. Time for another one, I think. I also need to get a chair to go in here so I can actually sit and work without dragging in a dining chair. We also put an air mattress in here on the floor when we have guests, or at least the one time we have had guests so far (seriously, we're like a five star hotel).

All the things for sale in my Etsy shop.

And now the bathroom:
So much more counter space than we had before! We can both get ready at the same time.

And finally, on to the master bedroom (my favorite):

I love how in between shots, one of the lights burned out! These shots were only 10 seconds apart. I didn't notice until now.

This dresser is the one piece that belongs only to the new apartment. I got it from ksl right before we moved. I need to refinish it but I love the lines of it and it is still in pretty good shape construction-wise.

Well there you have it! The first half of our apartment in its first round look. I hope you like it. I do.

Krista, if we ever settle down anywhere, I MUST have you over to decorate my house.

Cute! I love all the globes you have around the house.

Very nice! You could put snacks on all of those cake plates for your next guest.

Love the new apartment decor! And I did miss you posting last week, I got on last Friday to see Fashion Friday and sadly it wasn't there. But, I am glad you had fun with the fam!

I appreciated seeing you between your very busy schedule! Thanks for taking time for us =D. Also, I have two favorite things about your new place. 1. Even the stuff you're selling on Etsy is artistically used to make your practically-5-star-hotel-guest-room look beautiful! 2. The picture frame in your bathroom. It made me smile every time.

Thank you for the wonderful stay! You're new apartment is marvellous.
