Going back to my roots

This weekend, VH1 taught me something very important about 80's music. It can be hugely entertaining. I shouldn't be ignoring the whole decade just because there was too much neon, hairspray, and synthesizer! I've been missing out. For example, this song that is currently being featured on the Heinekin commercial with the old taxi driver singing along with the young people in the back. Wasn't on the VH1 Best 100 Songs of the 80's Countdown, but still absolutely worth watching. Just a Friend by Biz Markie. Long live the 1980's!

isn't it not your roots if you've never listened to 80's music before this weekend?

Yes but I was born in the 80's which makes it my roots that I've never visited before.
