two years

Dear Sam,

Two years ago today, we did this:

I wouldn't say it was the best day of my life, but rather the start of the best days of my life.

Sometimes I try to remember what life was like before I knew you. It seems dim and unsatisfying. Now, there is a vibrancy and a confidence about life. You give that to me.

I didn't know what it felt like to be truly myself until I was with you. You know and love all of me.

Our life together is everything a life should be, joyful and passionate and sometimes difficult, full of laughter and tears. Full of us.

You are kind, tender, and patient. You quietly work hard to give me a wonderful life. You make me laugh constantly. Your smile lights up my whole being.

I feel beautiful when I am with you. I feel deeply loved.

We have our whole lives stretching before us still, years to grow even closer. Thank you for choosing to do it with me.

You are mine and I am completely yours. I love you.
